Camping Lists

Posted On 01-26-2009 , 7:58 PM

"Hey there!  Being in Massachusetts covered in snow, you probably thou
ght I would be talking about winter camping.  I will next time, but for now I am talking about camping lists.  You can't camp without supplies.  For me, making a list is the best way to make sure I haven't forgotten any supplies I will need.  There have been times that I have forgotten some things, but you ad-lib and you get creative and you get by.  You will actually be surprised how resourceful you can be.  However, making a list of your camping needs will make the trip that much more enjoyable.  I am working on a page that will list some items you might like to bring with you.  You will be able to print this list off and have it by your side as you pack for your trip.  Some of the items on this camping list might trigger in you something else you might like to bring.  Besides the basic necessary items like a sleeping bag, cookware, tent, etc.  You might want to bring your own personal connection to the outside world.  My sister doesn't go anywhere without her iPod touch.  You might want to load it with some books to read, music to listen to, photos to look at, even a movie or two.  Don't be afraid that this isn't what you should be bringing on a camping trip.  Whatever is on your camping list needs to be what you need, not what someone else's idea of camping in the great outdoors is.  So, don't let anyone tell you that bringing an electronic device is wrong.  It isn't.  So, make your camping list and add to it whatever you will need and have a wonderful trip."
